Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July from our boys.
The girls lost their holiday outfits :( no pictures sorry.
By the way do they make "my second July 4th" ones? :)

Dedication June 8th 2008.

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14

On June 8th in the evening service we made a commitment as mom and dad in the presence of God that we will raise our children to love and follow the Lord Jesus.

It was the babies first time in church. It took 4 experienced volunteers to make the babies ready. Dress them, feed them and pack them ready to go. They did very well during the service and then meeting lots of people. Our friends' twins were also dedicated on the same evening.
From Pastor Don they each got a letter with a chosen verse from mom and dad. They can only open it when they will be 18.

The reception went well afterwards too. Many people were able to hold them and love on them.

Here are some things we shared:

Dave: "On behalf of Manna and I and our family, we have so much to be thankful for. We want to give a special thanks to our immediate family for their consistent support and to our small group “the Jeffries” who made it 100% possible for us to be with our babies while serving us. You guys truly went the extra mile for us thru the organization of our home, providing all the baby items we needed and putting them into place. We are amazed by the great stewardship of everything that has come into our home.
This has been truly a humbling experience for us. Especially having people in our home most all hours of the day. The body of Christ has shown thru and thru in everyway possible."

Manna:"The body of Christ came to our home. It’s humbling to see how many of you come to serve us with a Christ like love. Jesus is compassionately at work through you in our home and it’s so beautiful.
Our Mondays are usually the busiest especially when David is at the firehouse for 24 hours. Shift after shift eager volunteers come to our home. In the afternoon the scheduled person drops our dinner off. Right at 6 pm our cleaning crew shows up faithfully. Then two more shifts come to feed the babies.
The system is working because Christ is the heart of it!
We already made so many friends through our children. You are like family for us as we share our babies with you."
